There are a number of health conditions that disproportionately affect women of all ages, but particularly as they get older and move through the menopause transition. There are up to 60 known symptoms of menopause that affect all areas of life and these can start in perimenopause, up to 10 years prior to the menopause stage. Hormone fluctuations and decline can result in physical changes, with the pelvic floor a common area of concern particularly during/after menopause and child-birth.
